Top 10 Wrestling Theme Songs of the 80s

As promised when WWE printed their list of the 50 greatest entrance themes, I've decided to make my own Top 10 lists broken down by decades. Here's my list (in no particular order) of 80s theme songs. For the sake of this list, I'm only including WWF wrestlers because that's the only thing I watched in the 80s. Also, Even though they're numbered, it is not for the sake of ranking them, it's simply for the sake of keeping track of how many I've posted. Also also, I don't think most of these are the original TitanTron videos but rather custom ones I dug up on YouTube. That's not what matters. What matters is the music.

#10) "Rowdy" Roddy Piper
If my memory serves me correctly, Piper actually had a few different themes in WWF/E. I think this is actually his current one, as evidence by the video:

However, THIS one is my favorite and the one that immediately comes to mind when I think of Hot Rod:

#9) "Macho Man" Randy Savage
Anyone who claims to be a wrestling fan and says they didn't have the urge to yell out "OOOH YEAH, DIG IT" during high school graduation is a filthy fucking liar, and I won't tolerate that shit around here:

 

#8) "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase

Single-handedly the greatest villain laugh ever. EEEEEEVERRRRRRR!

 

#7) The Hart Foundation

While a harder version of this song went on to become Bret's theme when he went solo, he was mainly in the 90s so that's where I'll put his version:

#6) Demolition
I don't care if they were supposed to be a ripoff of the Legion of Doom. They were one of my favorite teams back in the day, heel or face:

#5) Jake "The Snake" Roberts
One of those themes that when it hit, you knew the guy in the ring was in for some shit. If Indiana Jones were a real person and a wrestling fan, he'd hate him no matter what. I'm sorry, I'll go hang my head in shame for that:

#4) Mr. Perfect
You got a long ways to go before you're even half this good, Curtis. At least in my opinion, anyway:

#3) Hulk Hogan
Fun fact - a few years ago I shaved off my goatee and left just the Hogan fu-manchu stache. A coworker saw it and immediately played this song over the store PA system after dedicating it to me. Best day ever:

#2) Honky Tonk Man
Little known fact about me - I love Elvis. And as much as I hated HTM, I couldn't help but love the guy and his entrance theme because of his gimmick:

#1) Ultimate Warrior
OK, so I lied a little bit. Those first nine are pretty interchangeable depending on my mood (although if I am gonna be honest, my legit top 5, in order, would be Hogan, Hart Foundation, Savage, Piper, then Warrior) but no matter what Warrior's entrance theme will be my absolute favorite 80s wrestling theme until the day I die. Must be the metal head in me:
